Here is an easy way to install a working c++ environment with Eclipse on Windows

  • Install eclipse cdt or adt if you are doing native android development
  • Install MinGW, select components “C++ Compiler” and “MSYS Basic System”
  • Add a new enviromnet variable MINGW_HOME with your installtaion path to MinGW should be “C:MinGW” per default
  • also add to windows path the insallation directory of MinGW just in case
  • Now when you start eclipse and create a new c++ project with MinGW tool chain it should pick it up, so the indexer should be fine
  • Tested on Windows 7 with ADT
