Custom Node Red Dashboard UI Part 1

In case you need more out of the dashboard ui and want to add your library or any library available on npm here is how to do it. I will do this in 2 parts to make it beginner friendly. Advanced node users can skip to part 2.

If you have the dashboard already installed which means it is under the node_modules folder, you need to remove it and checkout the source from the github page. From the node_modules folder run

Then Clone the repo from git hub and do an npm install

That’s it for now, we will need to execute gulp so that node red picks up our changes on the next start.
We will add a library on the next part and use it on a template node.
